Administrative, Student Support, Research, Public Service Unit Assessment
Assessing the effectiveness of administrative, student support, research, and public service units at Carolina provides key information on how well these functions are achieving intended outcomes and contributing to the University’s success in fulfilling its mission and the priorities of our strategic framework, Carolina Next. Each unit develops an assessment plan that articulates the intended outcomes of their work, how these outcomes link to Carolina Next, the methods they will use to assess whether they are achieving these outcomes, and criteria for determining success. Annually, they collect and analyze data that measure their effectiveness and prepare a report that describes their findings and how they have used the results to improve their operations.
